Course Content

Tests
The Tests section consists of three main test types. The Reviews and Tests are based on a pool of over 1,000 questions. The three test types include Chapter Reviews, Chapter Tests and Comprehensive Tests.

Chapter Reviews
Here you can "Review" questions based on selecting topic chapters from the course. You will view your correct and incorrect answers as well as supporting text content (and graphics as appropriate) as you proceed through the questions. The questions and answers are randomized so the chapter questions are not always in the same order. Once you complete a Chapter Review you will receive information on how many questions you answered correctly as well as a grade for the Review. You will also have the option for reviewing or printing the questions and answers from your Chapter Review. You may take these reviews as often as you wish with the last five Chapter Reviews being recorded in your Reports.

Chapter Tests
Here you can take a simulated "Test" based on selecting topic chapters of the course. You will proceed through the questions and see your score and answers at the end of the test. The questions and answers are randomized so chapter questions are not always in the same order. Once you complete a Chapter Test, you will receive information on how many questions you answered correctly as well as a grade for the Test. You will also have the option for reviewing or printing the questions and answers from your Chapter Test. You may take these reviews as often as you wish with the last five Chapter Tests being recorded in your Reports. If you do not finish a Test during one session, you will be asked if you wish to continue the previous test or begin a new test when you attempt to start the same Chapter Test.

Comprehensive Test
A comprehensive test consisting of 100 questions is randomly selected from all chapters. You will proceed through the questions and see your score and answers at the end of the test. The questions and answers are randomized so you should not see the same test twice (although some questions may be the same). You may take these tests as often as you wish. The reports section will display up to the last five review scores you've received.

If you do not finish a Comprehensive Test during one session, you will be asked if you wish to continue the previous test or begin a new test when you attempt to start a Comprehensive Test.

Glossary

Provides a searchable list of cosmetology terms and definitions for your review. Most terms include audio and some include graphics, related terms and abbreviations.

After completing the course, you may wish to provide feedback about your experience by clicking on the course survey. You can respond to several questions and also provide additional comments. Your feedback will continue to help us develop more useful courses and products. All responses are anonymous.

Student Reports

Student Chapter Review Report
This report shows Chapter Review scores and includes: review date, number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions, and the grade (% Correct). Students can view or print the last five Chapter Reviews taken.

Student Chapter Test Reports
This report shows Chapter Test scores and includes: test date, number of questions answered correction out of the total number of questions, and the grade (% correct). Students can view or print the last five Chapter Tests taken.

Comprehensive Test Report
This report shows Comprehensive Test scores and includes: test date, number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions, and the grade (% correct).

Comprehensive Test Detail Report
This report recreates the Comprehensive Test allowing the user to view the all the questions, answers (correct & incorrect), answer rationale, and supporting content from text.

Comprehensive Test Summary Report
This report provides information to build a Learning Plan for further study based on the Comprehensive Test performance. Up to 5 tests are included in the average. Recommended areas for further study are based on averages below 70% and are highlighted in red.

Instructors can review the following reports for students set up in their class.

Chapter Review Class Report
This report provides information on the last five Chapter Reviews taken by students. This report includes: student name, review date, number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions, and the grade (% correct). Instructors can chose to see one student or all students.

Chapter Review Class Average Report
This report provides information on the last five Chapter Reviews taken by students. This report includes student name, number of reviews taken, review average and class average.

Chapter Test Class Report
This report provides information on the last five Chapter Tests taken by students. This Report includes student name, test date, number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions, and the grade (% correct). Instructors can chose to see one student or all students.

Chapter Test Class Average Report
This report provides information on the last five Chapter Tests taken by students. This report includes student name, number of tests taken, test average and class average.

Comprehensive Test Class Report
This report provides information on the last five Comprehensive Tests taken by students. This Report includes student name, test date, number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions, and the grade (% correct). Instructors can chose to see one student or all students
